Eclipse of the Sun, 17 April 1912

Mr Charles Binyon's telescope was set up at Badsey School to project an image of the sun on to a sheet of paper so that everyone could safely watch the progress of the eclipse. The photograph was taken by Mr Binyon, who was at that time, School Manager. The parish magazine for June 1912 prints a prize winning essay by Nancy Crisp aged 12 about the eclipse.
