Badsey cricket team 1920s

The picture was taken at Elsewhere Park, off of Badsey Lane during the 1931/1932 season.

Standing left to right: Jim Barnard (umpire), Douglas Jelfs, Alec Hatcher, Bert Evans, Bill Sears and George Neal.
Front row left to right: Bill Hall, George Hall, Jim Harwood, in front of him Eddy Churchill, Fred Dore and Bill Keen.

Elsewhere Park off Badsey Lane was the home ground of Badsey Arrowvale Football Club made up of local market gardeners.

This picture was kindly lent to us by Robert Hall who researched the names of the players. Some of these names were supplied by Doug Bott who played cricket for Badsey for many years, as did his father, Len Bott who is not on this photo.

This second picture, also from Robert Hall, dates from about the same time. It was taken at the Badsey Recreation Ground and shows Bill Hall dressed in white. Next to him are James Barnard and, possibly, Augustus Dore. Click on the picture to enlarge it.
