PLUM-PICKING ACCIDENT

Mr. Frank Halford, of 8 Council-cottages, Wickhamford, near Broadway, is in Evesham Hospital suffering from injuries received as a result of a plum-picking accident. Mr. Halford was picking plums from a tree on Longdon Hill, and on another ladder against the same tree was Mr. Harry Field, who lives with Mr. Halford. The tree snapped off close to the ground and Mr. Field managed to jump clear, but Mr. Halford fell heavily, and was taken by ambulance to Evesham Hospital, where an X-ray examination revealed that his wrist was fractured.
