The Coronation - A public meeting was held in the Old School last Tuesday evening to consider the question of celebrating the Coronation day with becoming loyalty.  It was determined to give a dinner to adults and a tea for the children, and to provide suitable sports and amusements for the day.  A committee was formed to undertake the raising of funds and to make other arrangements.  It was also agreed that the parishioners of Aldington and Wickhamford  should be invited to join in the Badsey celebration should they desire to do so.  A subsequent discussion took place upon the question of holding a Flower Show this year, and it was eventually decided that owing to the coronation celebration in June it would be advisable to abandon the show for one year, and to hold a meeting next autumn to arrange for reviving  the fixture in 1903.
