BADSEY WHIST DRIVE

On Wednesday a whist drive took place at the Old Schools, Badsey, in aid of the Abbey Manor Red Cross Hospital, and to provide cigarettes for Badsey soldiers. Thirty-one tables were occupied. The prizes were gained as follows:

Gents; Mr. J. Nightingale 1, Mr. A Avins 2, Mr. J. Such 3. Hidden number, Mrs. W. Geden.

Ladies: Miss Meredith 1, Mrs. W. Geden 2, Miss R. Brewer 3. Hidden number, Miss Elgie.

The proceeds amounted to £10.
