Desmond Ewart BRADFORD (1915-1940)

Biographical Details

Desmond Ewart Bradford (1915-1940) was the younger son of Daisy Bradford (née Idiens), who had grown up in Evesham and Wickhamford and knew the Sladden family well.

Desmond was born in British Columbia, Canada, in 1915, the younger son of Alice Marguerite Bradford (née Idiens), known as Daisy, and her husband, Edmund Ewart Bradford.  Desmond is mentioned in a letter written by Ethel Sladden on 26th November 1915 when Ethel comments on news received from Doris Idiens about Daisy and her second child.

Desmond died at Dunkirk in 1940.  He is commemorated at St Mary's Cemetery, Metchosin, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada.
