Gloucestershire – Kemble: Church of All Saints

aGlos-BAILEY%20Kemble%20Church.jpgSecond Lieutenant Robert Bailey, who was the brother of Mrs Helen Lees-Milne of Wickhamford Manor, is honoured on the war memorial in the Church of All Saints, Kemble.  Robert had a house in Ewen, three miles from Kemble.

The memorial takes the form of a stone plaque on the south wall of the nave.  It was probably installed after the Second World War as the names from both conflicts are integrated within the same design.  Robert’s name is one of 15 to appear in the First World War list.
