Mr Roberts appeared for Mr Harry Jinks, of Badsey, who appealed in respect of his son, Frederick John Jinks (18), single, passed for general service, who he claimed, was the real directing head of his business. Applicant has 18 acres of land and looks after 2½ acres for a son who is in the Army. The local Tribunal had given exemption conditional on no substitute being forthcoming, and it was this condition that was now appealed against.
