Vol 23, No 6, June 1918 - The report from France to the effect that Pte W F Nightingale had been wounded was incorrect. A postcard has been received from him stating that he is a prisoner in Germany, unwounded and well.

Vol 24, No 2, February 1919 - Pte F W Nightingale, who is an expert performer on the mouth-organ, played at a supper in the Parish Room on January 23rd, for returned prisoners-of-war and those local soldiers who had been discharged owing to exceptionally serious injuries.
