Chapel Cottage, The Hop Gardens

Present-day address: Chapel Cottage, The Hop Gardens, Aldington

A semi-detached cottage dating back to about the 18th century, semi-detached with Ivy Cottage, Chapel Lane. Both cottages were known as Ivy Cottages as they were in the grounds of Ivy House but, when Ivy House was demolished in the 1970s and a new housing development called The Hop Gardens was built, this cottage became known as Chapel Cottage, The Hop Gardens.
