Saturday 8 April 1882 - Parish Chest in Wickhamford Church broken open

EVESHAM

SACRILEGE. – Some time between Sunday, the 26^th March, and Sunday, April 2^nd, the parish chest in Wickhamford Church was broken open and £1. 6s. 6d. stolen. The robbery must have been committed by some person who had access to the church, as there is no sign of the building having been broken into. The police are making enquiries.
