According to the Poor Rate calculations, the estimated extent of Wickhamford was 1211 acres. The gross annual value was £2,612 18s; the rateable value was £2,385 12s.

A few areas of land, and The Sandys Arms, were surveyed in April and May 1912, but the main surveys took place in February 1913. There was then a gap of nearly two years before the inspectors returned to complete their task in January 1915 when they surveyed the property of George Lees-Milne of Wickhamford Manor.

The bulk of land in Wickhamford by far was owned by the trustees of the late Captain John Pickup Lord who had died in 1877. The only other landowners with a reasonable amount of property were George Lees-Milne and Stanley Moss-Blundell.
