Obituary of Frederick Charles Savage of The Singlet, Main Street, Aldington, who died in Ronkswood Hospital, Worcester, aged 72. Only son of the late Mr & Mrs Charles Savage of Brewers Lane, Badsey; after leaving Badsey School was apprenticed with an Evesham builder as a carpenter. Joined his father in the family business of building contractors; served for many years on the committee of Badsey Rangers Football Club. Survived by his wife, two step-sons, three grandchildren and one sister. Funeral at St James Church, Badsey, followed by cremation at Cheltenham. Family mourners: Mrs M Savage (widow), Mr & Mrs Michael Johns, Mr & Mrs Graham Johns (step-sons and wives), Mr & Mrs T Smith (brother-in-law and sister), Mr H Hemming, Mrs T Parry, Mr & Mrs H J Butler, Mr & Mrs C Stock, Mr & Mrs J Hughes, Mr & Mrs D Ludlow (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), Mrs R Andrews, Mr & Mrs B Smith and Mr & Mrs B Jordan (nephews and nieces).
