Two members of the Littleton and Badsey Growers General Committee then spoke.
- Adam Howley (1891-1974), a market gardener on his own account, was born at South Littleton and spent most of his life there but, but 1939 he was living in North Littleton. He talked about his work with asparagus and when to end the cutting season. See also page 12.
- John Edwin Knight (1875-1959) lived at Fairview, High Street, Badsey and was a Market Gardener (own account). He was involved with Littleton and Badsey Growers from the early days and had been appointed to a special Herbs Committee during WWI. He debated with Adam Howley about the time to stop harvesting asparagus. See also page 12.
