PEBWORTH WEDDING
The wedding took place on Monday of Miss Mabel Emily Clarke, the eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs F Clarke of Pebworth, and Mr Richard Henry Caswell, the only son of Mr & Mrs F Caswell of The Forge, Chapel Street, Badsey. The Vicar (Rev W A A Boyd) officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ankle-length dress with lace trimmings. Her head dress comprised a wreath and fall, trimmed with a spray of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of red tulips with trailing fern (the gift of the bridegroom). The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Nellie Clarke, and Miss Dorothy Caswell (sister of the bridegroom), both of whom were dressed in pale pink. They carried bouquets of deep pink tulips with maidenhair fern (gifts of the bridegroom). The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Clinton Sears, a friend of the groom. Following the service, which was fully choral, a reception was held in the Schools, where about 60 relatives and friends attended. The bride is a native of Pebworth, but for the past three years has been employed at Badsey. The bridegroom is the local smith. The newly-married couple will make their future home at The Forge, Chapel Street, Badsey.
