Miss Ivy Jinks and Mr H W Evans

Youngest daughter of Mrs M J Jinks of 43 Merstow Green, Evesham, Miss Ivy Mildred Jinks was married at All Saints’ Church, Evesham, on Saturday, to Mr Horace William Evans, youngest son of Mr & Mrs A E Evans of Sands Lane, Badsey.

The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar of Evesham, the Rev Canon T Charles Jones.  Mr F J Stevens was best man.

Given away by her step-brother, Mr J W H Philpott, the bride wore a blue two-piece costume, trimmed with Indian lambs’ wool with navy blue accessories.  She had a spray of pink carnations.

The only bridesmaid, Miss C Wright, f Wickhamford, wore a dress of pale clover angora wool with navy blue accessories and a spray of pink carnations.  Her ivory Prayer Book was the gift of the bridegroom.

A reception was held at the Montfort Café, Evesham.
