DEATH OF MRS G C TROUGHTON

The death occurred at her home, Brewers Lane, Badsey, on Friday, at the age of 34 years, of Mrs Gertrude Clare Troughton, second daughter of Mr & Mrs C Ballard of Brewers Lane, Badsey.

Mrs Troughton was a native of Badsey and had resided in the village nearly all her life.  She is survived by her husband and one son.

The funeral took place at St James’ Church, Badsey, on Tuesday, the service being conducted by the Rev Father A J Proudman, Priest in Charge of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Evesham, assisted by Canon W C Allsebrook.  Mourners were:  Mr W Troughton (widower), Mr & Mrs C Ballard (parents), Mrs & Mrs Raymond Ballard (brother and sister-in-law), Mr & Mrs R J Hewlett (brother-in-law and sister), Mrs J Martin (sister-in-law), Miss O Troughton (sister-in-law), Mrs R Coldicott and Mrs H Horsfield.  Bearers were:  Messrs G H Knight, J Hartwell, C Roberts and E Wilkins (cousin).
