BADSEY – MARRIAGE OF MISS E M MOISEY

Sixth daughter of Mr & Mrs G Moisey of Bredon Villa, Miss Edith Miriam Moisey was married at St James’ Church on Wednesday afternoon to Mr Ernest Lugg, second son of Mr & Mrs Lugg of 6 Coffice Gardens, Stone, Staffs.  Given away by her father, the bride was attired in a silk dress printed with pink roses and fastened down the back to the waist with pink velvet buttons and trimmed with a sash of pink velvet.  She wore a pink picture hat and shoes to tone.

She was attended by her youngest sister, Miss Margaret Moisey, who was attired in pale blue organdie over a blue satin slip with pale blue picture hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink and blue sweet peas and fern.  She also carried a Prayer Book, the gift of the bridegroom.

The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook) and Mr J Foulkes of Oulton, Stone, was best man.

The bride has lived in Stone for the past 10 years but has retained her membership of Badsey GFS branch, by whom she was presented with an ivory-bound Prayer Book.  About 40 guests attended a reception.  Afterwards Mr & Mrs Lugg left for their future home at Stone, the bride travelling in a blue costume of West of England suiting with halo hat.  A merry peal was rung on the church bells.
