My Dearest Wife,

I arrived here quite safely about 6 P.M. yesterday and have got very comfortable quarters at the above house, together with nearly a dozen other delegates, the town is very full and we were fortunate to get in.  The soirée last night was a great success must let you know all about it when I return. I shall not hear from Potter till to-morrow but I think you had better not expect me on Wednesday unless I send a wire.  Kiss all the chicks for me and tell them Papa hopes they are good.

With fond love
believe me ever
Your affectionate Husband

Julius Sladden

I am just off to the conference 10.30 A.M. so have no time to write more.
