1875 Oct 26, copy probate of the will of Robert Knight deceased

Description

By his will dated 19th December 1872, Robert Knight of Badsey gave:

... upon trust to permit and suffer my dear wife, Mary Knight, to receive and take the rents, issues and profits thereof for her life after paying thereout the costs and charges without incident to keeping the same in tenantable repair and insured from damage by fire, And upon further trust to permit and suffer my said dear wife to have the use and enjoyment of my household furniture, chattels and effects for her life

And from immediately after the decease of my said wife I  give, devise and bequeath unto my eldest son, Joseph Knight, his heirs and assigns, All that the cottage [Rose Cottage] with moiety of the garden and outbuildings now  used herewith and now in my own occupation situate in Badsey aforesaid for his own absolute use and benefit su bject nevertheless to the payment within six calendar months after the death of my said wife of the sum of £20 to my daughters, Ann, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sarah, Mary, Harriet and Emma, in equal shares to whom I give the same absolutely

I give and devise and bequeath unto my two sons, William Knight and Thomas Knight, their heirs and assigns, All that the cottage [Vine Cottage] and premises with the remaining moiety of the garden and outbuildings now used therewith and adjoining the last mentioned cottage as tenants common subject nevertheless to the like payment of £20 within six calendar months after the death of my said wife to my above-named daughters in equal shares to whom I give the same absolutely
