Elizabeth Sladden

This photo was taken in the same studio as the photo of John Sladden. The person in the photo is most likely John Sladden’s wife, Elizabeth, née Coleman (1815-1903). Elizabeth was the mother of Julius Sladden. After her husband’s death in 1870, Elizabeth remained living in Ash with her daughter, Charlotte, until Charlotte’s marriage in 1893; she then went to live with her in Folkestone.
