Marshall Family

Thomas Marshall (1865-1935) of Dorsington married Badsey-born Fanny Addis, a pupil teacher, on Christmas Day 1885 at St James’ Church. They had four daughters and two sons: Harriet (1886), Frances Annie (1889), George William (1891-1965), Elsie (1894), Thomas Henry (1898-1979) and Martha Ellen (1901). It was some time between January 1895 and November 1898 that Thomas moved to The Wheatsheaf Inn to become the landlord.

George Marshall (1891-1965), the eldest son of Thomas and Fanny Marshall, married Catherine Enstone in 1916. They lived at Glebe Farm from about 1918 to 1924, before moving to Hinton Villa on Chapel Street and then to 12 Cotswold View about 1932.
