Quarterly Badsey Society newsletter sent to members. Events: at AGM same Officers and Committee were elected except Liz Dyer stood down and was replaced by Mike Lovatt of Aldington. Orchard Walk to Knowle Hill was well attended including Jonathan Granger formerly of Badsey. Future Events: Badsey First School Summer Fete; Badsey Flower Show; Badsey Village Walk; Computer Training on Badsey Enclosure Maps and talk by Judith Curthoys, the Archivist of Christ Church Library. Doreen Moore, nee Ballard, passed away but she will be remembered for her remedies. Memories of the Cider Mill in Badsey High Street were recalled by John Bird, Fred Mason, Mike Hewlett, Michael Flanagan and Doreen Moore. Request was made for Cider Mill reminiscences and details of old remedies or cures. Pete Smith was elected Councillor on Parish Council and Elizabeth Bolland organised the Guides 50th anniversary celebrations. Details of new DVD’S were reported. Evesham Moviemakers Club recorded Aldington Village Walk and Will Dallimore recorded asparagus growing in the village. Stars of Will’s DVD were George Keen, Ron Heeks, Terry Sparrow, David Field and David Caswell. Names of Committee members: Will Dallimore (Chairman), Maureen Spinks (Secretary), Terry Sparrow (Treasurer), Mike Lovatt, Ian Gibson, Tony Jerram, Richard Phillips, Neil Thould.
