Transcripts of five newspaper articles extracted from the British Newspaper Archive website: (1) Aberdeen Journal, 26th March 1927 - J G Jeffreys of Christchurch, Oxford, was one of the judges of the first women's boat race between Oxford and Cambridge: (2) Western Daily Press, 14th March 1928 - J G Jeffreys played cricket for Bristol 2nd team (may not be Jeffrey G Jeffreys); (3) Dundee Courier, 29th June 1942 - Rev J G Jeffrey was a speaker at a conference on Sunday School work held in the Mackintosh Hall, St Andrews; (4) Gloucestershire Echo, 11th November 1946 - Rev J G Jeffreys, Vicar of Badsey, jointly with Rev H L M Richards of Astwood Bank, conducted services of remembrance at the churches of All Saints and St Lawrence, Evesham; (5) Western Morning News, 9th April 1948 - Rev J G Jeffreys, assistant curate at the old parish church, Richmond, officiated at the cremation service for Mr Frank Bailey of Richmond, a director of The Western Morning News Company Ltd.
