Description

Programme for a one-day exhibition held at the Guildhall, Worcester, on Saturday 4th August 2018, showcasing activity commemorating the centenary of the First World War (the 104th anniversary of the outbreak of war) – organised by the Worcestershire World War One Hundred HLF Project.  Opened by Sir Peter Luff, Chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund.  The Badsey Society had a stand at the exhibition.  At 11.15, 12.30, 13.00, 14.00 and 15.30, Jane Neill, playing the part of Mela Brown Constable, read extracts from Mela’s letters to her fiancé, Cyril Sladden of the 9th Worcestershire Regiment.
