Description
Programme for the reopening of the restored and enlarged Parish Church of St James on Thursday 15th October 1885 The Bishop of Worcester was preacher at the morning service, followed by consecration of the churchyard (additions made in 1866). There was a public luncheon at 1.20 and an afternoon service at 3.15.
The programme also gives details of:
- A full choral service on Friday 16th October to be followed by a tea and entertainment for parishioners
- Harvest Thanksgiving services on Sunday 18th October
The offerings after every service were to be donated to the Restoration Fund.
