Magazine article by Rob Hemming about the level of support in and around the Vale of Evesham during the 1930s for Sir Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists. Mentions Dumbleton Hall, home to Lord Bolton Eyres-Monsell, he local Conservative MP and First Lord of the Admiralty and the Mitford sisters. Includes a section about Oswald Mosley touching down in a field in Badsey on 3rd August 1935 with his mother, Maud, Lady Mosley; they were the guests of businessmen who had organised a garden party at Pool House. Over 200 guests enjoyed various competitions and an aerobatics display, followed by a promotional talk.
