Red Cross Certificate 1919

Certificate presented by the British Red Cross Society to Ethel Sladden, with the words: “It is a sincere pleasure to me to learn that at a meeting of the Council of the British Red Cross Society held at St James’ Palace, your name has been inscribed upon the Roll of Honourable Service. I cordially congratulate you upon your good work and gratefully thank you for your services in connection with the cause which I have so much at heart.” It is dated 31st December 1919 and signed “Alexandra R” (this was Queen Alexandra, the Queen Mother, who was President of the Society).
