Ethel Sladden’s Red Cross Certificates

Red Cross certificates given to Ethel Sladden.

The first one, dated 28th December 1912, says:

This is to certify that Miss Ethel Sladden of Seward House, Badsey, has attended a course of lectures and demonstrations held on First Aid to the injured, given by the undersigned lecturere and has been examined and found profiecient in the said subject by the undersigned examiner, and is qualified in accordance with the War Office regulation for enrolment as a Member of a Voluntary Aid Detachment.

The second one, dated 22nd May 1914, says:

This is to certify that Miss Ethel Sladden having attended a course of lectures and demonstrations on Home Nursing has been examined and found profiecient in the said subject in accordance with the regulations of the British Red Cross Society.
