Test Pit 17

The top 30 centimetres consisted primarily of post-Victorian junk.  The Test Pit is now at Spit 4 where a cobbled surface has been revealed which may have been a path.  The garden of this 1960s’ house is adjacent to where the old Vicarage (demolished c1970) once stood, so may have been a path leading to the Vicarage.
