The dovecote, c1890
The dovecote is situated in the grounds of Wickhamford Manor. In the picture from c1890, there is a low picket fence marking the boundary of the Manor grounds and the dovecote can be clearly seen across the road from Corner Cottage. When pictured in 2025, there is a tall stone wall as the property boundary. This stonework was probably of material reclaimed when the Great Stone Barn, between the Church and Manor, was demolished in the 1890s. The dovecote is also now largely obscured by trees.
