Track Changes uses pairs of photographs to show how Wickhamford has altered over a period of about 135 years. The old photographs were kindly donated by Pauline Monks, the daughter of Tony (1928-1996) and Phyllis Brazier (1932-2022), after clearing out her mother's bungalow.
Each photograph is mounted on card and there is some writing on the back. All have ‘Brazier’ written in pencil. They also have ‘Carter’ written in ink. This may indicate that they were once in the possession of Sydney B. Carter (1896-1953). In his notes, on the back, he had suggested that the photos were taken in the 1880s or 1890s. Syd Carter had no children. His widow, Doris, moved from Wickhamford to Malvern a year or two before her death in 1974, so may well have passed on the photos to the Braziers as Tony's brother, David and wife, Iris, were beginning to collect items for a local history exhibition held in 1971.
