1902 wedding – Arthur Jones & Margaret Johns

Wedding of Arthur Edward Jones (1863-1950) and Margaret Elizabeth John (1865-1913), both of Badsey, at St James’ Church, Badsey, on 8th October 1902.

The bridesmaids were Alice Mustoe (who was to marry Margaret’s brother, Edward, in 1906), Margaret Eleanor Jones (Arthur’s sister), Clemmie Johns (daughter of Margaret’s brother, Henry) and Edie Jones (Arthur’s niece). As her father had died in 1900, Margaret was given away by her eldest brother, Joseph.  Her youngest brother, Edward, was best man.

After the wedding, Margaret went to live with Arthur at Malvern House (No 36 High Street), which he had recently bought.  Twins, Ruby Winifred and Llewelyn Joseph were born the following July.  When the twins were just ten years old, Margaret died, in August 1913.  Arthur died in 1950.
