ATTEMPT TO STEAL FISH

Charles Knight and Caleb Weaver, both of Badsey, were summoned by R Ashwin, Esq, of Aldington, for unlawfully attempting to take fish from a brook running through his estate.  Both pleaded guilty and were fined 5s and costs 7s 6d each.

There was more than one Charles Knight in Badsey.  This is thought to be Charles Knight (1825-1894).
