REFUSING TO QUIT AT BADSEY

George Knight (24) and George Jelfs (26), labourers, Badsey, were summoned for being disorderly and refusing to quit Mrs Fanny Wright’s beerhouse at Badsey.  Prosecutrix said defendants came into her house on the evening of December 12.  They had had some drink, but she could not say they were drunk.  They were supplied with a pint of cider.  They were then very unruly and disorderly, and she refused to serve them with any more to drink and requested them to go several times.  They refused to leave, and remained in the house for two hours.  Fined 10s and 7s 6d costs each; or in default of distress 14 days.  Defendants were allowed a fortnight in which to pay.
