LIGHT FROM GREENHOUSE

“A large portion of the greenhouse was illuminated,” said Police Constable Haines, giving evidence in a case in which Albert Charles Keen, Bretforton Road, Badsey, was summoned for displaying a light from his greenhouse at 11.45 pm on February 17.  He pleaded not guilty, but was fined 10s, the Chairman remarking that it was a very unfortunate accident, but that he should take more care in the future.  It was stated that the light came from two burners which Keen said were guaranteed to be properly screened to meet with the requirements of the blackout regulations.
