MR E BEADLE – MISS M R O'BRIEN 

The wedding took place at St Michael's Church on Saturday of Miss Mary Rosetta O'Brien of 26 Synehurst, Badsey, niece of Mrs Morris, 27 Sycamore Road, Tipton, and Mr Eric Beadle, only son of Mr & Mrs C Beadle, 15 Leamington Road, Broadway. 

The bride, who was given away by Mr R Taysom, looked charming in a gown of heavy satin with long veil held in pace by a wreath of orange blossom (the veil lent by a friend, Mrs Newman) and her bouquet was of white and pink carnations. 

Her bridesmaids were Miss Gladys Bearcroft, who was attired in a floral dress with headdress of pink feathers, and carried a bouquet or pink carnations, Miss Ann Moore and Miss Betty Hill, who wore dresses of pink taffeta ,with headdresses of pink rosebuds. and carried Victorian posies and Miss Maryan Little, the small bridesmaid, who wore a white and pink headdress of pink flowers with a posy attached to her wrist. 

The service was conducted by the Rev V H Patrick with Mr Gilbert Mills at the organ. A reception was held at the Lifford Hall which was attended by 50 guests and the honeymoon is being spent in North Wales, the bride's travelling dress being a navy suit with white accessories Mr V Higgins (Sedgberrow) was best man. 

The bride is employed by the War Department at Long Marston and the groom, who is well known in the village, is a member of the RAF.
