EVESHAM WEDDING – MR R V JONES AND MISS W V M HARKER 

Miss Winifred Violet Mary Harker, only daughter of Mr & Mrs C Harker of 18a Littleworth Street, Evesham, and Mr Ronald V Jones, second son of Mr and Mrs F C Jones of 16 Synehurst, Badsey, were married by special licence at St Laurence Church, Evesham, on Saturday. Canon W C Allsebrook, RD (Vicar of Badsey) and the Rev Canon T Charles Jones (Vicar of Evesham) officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a petrol blue costume with accessories to tone and carried white carnations and white heather. She was attended by a friend, Miss Ruby Rock, who wore a powder blue two-piece suit, with mustard coloured accessories and carried a bouquet of pale pink carnations with white heather. Mr Cecil Jones (brother of the bridegroom) was best man, and the ceremony was followed by a reception at the Bridge Cafe, Evesham. Mr and Mrs Jones received many useful and handsome gifts.
