BADSEY DEATH – Mrs A W Perkins, wife of Mr A W Perkins of Fairview, Blackminster, died at her home on Thursday last week.  Aged 72, deceased was of a retiring nature and during the war devoted her time towards growing and selling flowers in aid of the Prisoner of War Parcels Fund to which she contributed upwards of £40.  The funeral service took place at St James Church, Badsey, on Tuesday, being conducted by the Vicar (Rev J G Jeffreys).  Principal mourners were:  Mr A W Perkins (husband), Mr & Mrs W G Perkins (son and daughter-in-law), Mr & Mrs A E Perkins (son and daughter-in-law), Mr A & Mrs G Crane (brother-in-law & sister-in-law), Mr & Mrs J Perkins (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), C A Perkins (grandson), Mrs Padfield (niece), Mrs Cooper (niece), Mrs K Major, Mrs S Charlwood and Mrs WQ Goodall (friends).  There were many beautiful floral tributes
