LATE MR T VICARAGE

The funeral took place on Friday at St James’ Church, Badsey, of Mr Thomas Vicarage of Glenroy, Bretforton Road, Badsey, who died suddenly at his home.  He was 80.  A native of Bretforton, he was the eldest son of the late Mr & Mrs J Vicarage.  He had been a market gardener all his life and was a keen cricketer.  For many years he was a vice-president of Bretforton Cricket Club.  He is survived by his brother, Mr Harry Vicarage, of Bretforton.  The service in Badsey Church was conducted by the Vicar of Bretforton, the Rev C M Stickings, the interment taking place in Badsey churchyard.  Family mourners were:  Mr Harry Vicarage (brother), Mrs Hemsley (niece), Mr Norman Smith (nephew) and Miss Wheelright.  Others present included Mr A Hatcher, Mr & Mrs Beckett, Mr & Mrs Fisher, Mrs Parnell, Miss D Parnell, Mrs R Parnell, Mrs C Ollson, Mrs T Wilson, Mr & Mrs C Jelfs, Mr Harris (representing Bretforton Cricket Club) and Mr J Hay.  Bearers were Messrs C Halford, J Halford, D Archer and H Knight.  Undertaker:  Mr H Crisp of Bretforton.
