BADSEY OBITUARY

The death took place suddenly on Saturday of Mrs Jane Roberts of Chapel Street.  A daughter of the late Mr & Mrs T Malin of Badsey, Mrs Roberts was 68 years of age.  Of a quiet and unassuming nature, she made a wide circle of friends.  Her husband, Mr John Roberts, predeceased her some years ago.  The funeral took place on Tuesday, the ceremony being performed by the Rev J A A Maund of Evesham, in the absence of the Vicar, Canon Allsebrook.  The mourners were:  Mrs J Sears (sister), Mr W Roberts (brother-in-law), Mrs T Hughes (sister-in-law), Mr F C Green (brother-in-law), Mrs W Roberts (sister-in-law), Mr & Mrs C Roberts (nephew and niece), Mrs Andrews (niece), Mrs H Bryant (niece), Mrs Rouse (cousin), Mrs W Stanford, Mrs H S Dungworth, Mrs J Wilmore, Mrs E Shelley, Mr J Hartwell, Mrs Bert Andrew and Mrs Gardiner (friends).  The bearers were Messrs G H Knight, W D Sparrow, J Hartwell and E Pillinger.
