EVESHAM WEDDING – Miss B A Morgan and Mr H W King
The wedding was solemnised at All Saints’ Church, Evesham, on Saturday, of Miss Beatrice Annie Morgan, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr G Morgan of 48 Mill Bank, Evesham, and Mr Henry Walter King, son of Mr & Mrs G A King of The Orchards, Badsey.
A surveyor, employed by Messrs Espley & Co, builders, High Street, Evesham, the bridegroom is a local organist, and at one time conducted a dance band. The bride has for some time been employed by Messrs Willmott’s Ltd, Evesham.
The bride wore a dress of cream brocade satin with orange blossom halo and cream net veil, and carried a bouquet of cream rose buds. She was given away by her brother, Mr Harry Morgan.
FOUR ATTENDANTS
There were two bridesmaids, Miss Gwen Tooley and Miss Rena Evendene (friends of the bride) who wore dresses of pale blue satin with mauve stiffened lace and carried bouquets of sweet peas. A small bridesmaid, Miss Pam King, bridegroom’s niece, wore a dress of the same material, and a page, Master Keith Cisson, nephew of the bridegroom, wore a blue satin suit and silver shoes.
Mr Eddie Butler, friend of the bridegroom, was best man.
The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar of Badsey, Canon W C Allsebrook, assisted by Canon T Charles Jones (Vicar of Evesham) and the Rev F James Wells (Vicar of Bengeworth). Mr Herbert Sharp was the organist.
Forty guests attended the reception. The bridegroom presented the bridesmaids with coral and silver necklets and gave a gold bracelet and a wrist watch to the small attendants.
Mr & Mrs King will live at Bretforton Road, Badsey.
