Military Tribunals – Arthur Edward BARNARD

Mrs Barnard, of Badsey, applied for her son, Arthur Edward Barnard (18), who has control of 5 acres of ground for her, her husband being dead. An elder son, passed C2, has been exempted; he works for someone else. Mrs Barnard said she would be willing to release Arthur Edward if she could have the other son. Refused, the Tribunal expressing the opinion that the other son should work his mother’s land.
