Description

Photo of the Bishop of Worcester, Dr L M Charles-Edwards, talking to Harry Stewart outside his greenhouses in Badsey.  The person patting the dog is the Rural Dean, Canon T Charles Jones.  The photo can be dated to August 1962 as a newspaper article of 28th August 1962 reveals that the Bishop undertook a walking pilgrimage at Badsey where he visited the blacksmith’s shop, met Bertram Jones, ivory craftsman, and then called on market gardeners and old-age pensioners.  The photo was taken by Fox Photos Ltd, 69-71 Farringdon Road, London (this company was dissolved in 2018).
