WEDDING OF MISS B WHEELER

The wedding took place at North Littleton Church on Tuesday of Miss Beryl Mary Wheeler, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs G Wheeler of Hill View, North Littleton, and Mr William Henry Hall, eldest son of Mr & Mrs W Hall of Badsey.

The bride was dressed in white satin, with a pearl headdress and veil which was lent by Mrs Dynock, her cousin.  She carried a bouquet of pink tulips and maidenhair fern.  The bridesmaids were Miss Jean Wheeler (sister) who wore pink satin and Miss Joan Hall who was dressed in lemon satin.  They both wore necklaces, the gift of the groom.

The duties of best man were carried out by Mr A Hall (brother of bridegroom).  The Rev D Trimmer conducted the service.  There were about 50 useful presents, including one from Messrs Bean & Nicklin (the bridegroom’s employers) and another from the staff of Bean & Nicklin.  A reception was held at the home of the bride, and later in the day the couple left for their honeymoon at Weston-super-Mare.

The bride is sister to Mr Jack Wheeler who recently signed professional forms for Birmingham FC.  He was unable to be present owing to being engaged in a match.
