Description
Appeal for further donations for the restoration of Badsey Parish Church, April 1885, to be sent to the Vicar, the Rev T H Hunt, Badsey Vicarage, or the Treasurer, A H Savory, Esq, Aldington Manor. £1250 already raised, but not sufficient to meet the first contract of £1575, to which much be added £200 to be spent on the belfry and in rehanging the fine peal of six bells, and upwards of £300 for re-seating the Church in oak. These items, plus the architect's fees and other expenses, would bring the total sum required to at least £2300, so there was a shortfall of just over £1000. Contains a list of 138 donations or subscriptions, ranging from 5 shillings to £500 (the latter was from Rev Hunt).
