Douglas Stanley Albert Jones, aged 46, buried Jan 16 1964.
The sudden death of Mr Douglas Jones of The Stores, Sally Close, came as a great shock, as he seemed to be in full health and vigour. It is very sad that this should have happened just as we in Wickhamford were getting to know him. Mrs Jones, Roderick and Barry, and Douglas’ parents, are assured of our prayers and deeply felt sympathy. The great affection in which he was held in Evesham was shown by the large congregation who attended the funeral, completely overflowing our little church. Canon Charles-Jones, who had known him as one of his choirboys at Dudley, gave the address.
