Pat Goldstraw of Badsey writes about her father, Frederick Joseph Barnard, who joined the Royal Field Artillery in 1916. Her father only ever told her about one specific wartime incident which took place at Bourlon Wood in 1917. This incident is also mentioned in a book called "A Wood called Bourlon, the cover-up after Cambrai, 1917", by William Moore.
