Description

Photo of wheelright and undertaker, Lewis Gravely Stribblehill (standing left), thought to be with his young cousin, Ernest Pillinger, who moved to Badsey a couple of years before WWI to help in the business.  Lewis Stribblehill’s workshop was in the building which is now the Spar, High Street, Badsey.  They are standing beside the newly-built cart for Frederick Stewart for delivery of produce and coal.  The sign on the cars says “FREDK STEWART, FRUIT & VEGETABLE GROWER” on one side and “FREDK STEWART, COAL MERCHANT, BADSEY” at the front.
