Description
Photo album for Wickhamford Gardening Club begun in 1987 by the late Colin Hill who, for many years, was Chairman of the Club. Begins with photos of the Spring Show 1987. Most of the people in the photos are unnamed, but Jean Dyke is shown as winner of the 1988 Spring Show. Also includes:
- Letter from Bessie Astley of Brookfield about the success of the team in the Gardening Quiz
- An Evesham Journal newspaper cutting from 24th February 1977 showing Mrs B Astley (president) and Mr N Gardner (chairman) and other members of the Club planting two silver birches in the village
- Newspaper cutting of 13th April 1989 about the 1989 Spring Show, with photo of “Tiny” Hadley, Beryl Stratton, Jean Dyke and Diane Stacey showing off their spring hats and flowers
- Newspaper cutting of 3rd July 1997 about Mike and Diane Stacey of Gorsehill Abbey Farm about gardening without artificial fertilisers
